Background of Ammonigy
The founding members of Ammonigy recognized the potential of ammonia as an alternative for fossil fuels at an early stage. The WHS Group has been researching the possible uses for ammonia for many years. Several successful research projects with renowned institutes and patent applications clarified the enormous potential of ammonia more clearly. In 2020, Ammonigy GmbH was founded in cooperation with the Sonic Group to implement the marketability of WHS developments in a more targeted and efficient manner.
Christian Hermle

Christian is an expert in large diesel industry and Supply Chain Management. He studied industrial engineering at the University of Applied Science in Pforzheim and received the degree „Master of Science“ in 2015. He is part of the next generation of WHS group.
Dr. Gerhard Wannemacher
CTO & Co-Founder
Gerhard is a serial entrepreneur in the area of renewable energy. He studied chemistry at the Technical University of Darmstadt and received his doctorate in 1983. Gerhard holds several international patents.

WHS group has more than 20 years of experience in the planning and oper-ation of wind turbines and electricity generators. The implementation of the approval process was included. The generators were also operated with alternative fuels for CO2-free energy generation.

Sonic VVGmbH is specialized on found- ing, scale-up and internationalization of technology companies in seed or start-up phase. The founders of Sonic VVGmbH are serial entrepreneurs with successful exits in the past.
